TWEAK: Last Call for Applications!

The CFC Media Lab and the docSHIFT Initiative have joined forces to present TWEAK: an Idea-Refinement Boot Camp for Digital Documentaries. We are looking for up to 30 experienced producers, creators, directors, writers, strategists and architects with an interesting interactive documentary idea and the desire to have their idea analyzed, work-shopped and honed from both a creative and business perspective. This 2-day weekend workshop will be facilitated by a series of high level industry mentors along with UK’s Frank Boyd, former BBC Director of Creative Development and the visionary behind Crossover Labs as well as CFC Media Lab Faculty member. Selected participants will retain ownership of their project idea but must be open to working collaboratively in a group setting—sharing their idea, receiving input, and also giving valuable input on other projects.

TWEAK will run from September 25-26

Opportunity awaits with the Canadian Media Fund!

The CFC Media Lab has joined forces with The Documentary Organization of Canada – Toronto, National Film Board, Hot Docs, and Ryerson, to present docSHIFT: a cutting edge initiative aimed at fostering collaborations and business opportunities between interactive media producers and documentary filmmakers.

docSHIFT is currently seeking applicants interested in participating in a 2-day weekend workshop (May 8-9th 2010) facilitated by the UK’s Frank Boyd. Through participatory creative group exercises, the workshop is designed to break down walls between professional silos, develop common languages and perspectives and establish best practices for working together and ensuring success.
