The Banff Centre Calls for Residency Applications

The Banff Centre is calling for interested applicants for the Visual Arts Thematic and Self-Directed Residency programs.

Set in the spectacular environ of Banff National Park, The Banff Centre offers artists a creative oasis to inspire creativity and support artistic productivity. By providing the time and space for focused work, these residencies provide an ideal opportunity to realize a self-directed project. With access to accommodation and meals on campus, participants will have the freedom to focus completely on their project.

The  Liminal Screen Co-production Residency at The Banff Centre provides  a unique take on video-based residency programs by engaging artists,  developers, and researchers in a collective critical inquiry into  video as a medium. This residency will focus its inquiry on the  transitions between screen and life, as the screen reinforces its  central position as an ubiquitous communications portal, data  visualization surface and frame on an ever more meditated world.
