Two of our alumni will be going to this event to represent CFC Media Lab and their own work of course — Deb Hession and Faisal Anwar. You can chat with them about this at our next alumni resident meet and greet to be scheduled next month.
Event Details:
Projects Selected for Singapore “Media Arts and R&D”. Sixteen companies and project teams have been selected for the Singapore Lab – the most ever projects – hailing from six countries. The companies are coming from Singapore, Australia, India, Canada, Finland, and, we are delighted to say, the first X|Media|Lab projects from China.
The digital media project ideas range from the beautifully artistic to hardcore code-cutting technology innovation, and a range of intersections between them: an ambient audiovisual iptv channel; an inter-media arts project for kids; a cross cultural, cross platform interactive training media project for aid and development; an interactive journey into the hidden world of fairytales; a Singapore project incorporating video display as part of the architecture of a buildings interior; the fastest 3d animation pipeline in the world from Finland; an astounding real 3-D (i.e., 3D glasses!) animation of a treasured linear scroll vivifying ancient Suzhou art; and plenty of other brilliant media arts and R&D ideas.
